Illinois Deer Hunting Rates

• Rut and pre-rut bowhunts are $1200 for 6  days

• First firearm hunts are $1200 for 3 days 

• Second firearm hunts are $1200 for 4 days

• Bow/Gun combo special $2200 for 6 days bow followed by 3 day shotgun hunt. This requires two licenses, archery and shotgun but a buck can be harvested in each season

• Accomodations are available nearby on a for $25-$35 per night per hunter when sharing rooms. (minimum stay equal to your hunting days)  Accommodations are in local Bed and Breakfasts and motels.  Campgrounds with full hookups are also very close by.

• Payment plan: $100 immediately due upon booking to hold your reservation, half the hunt is to be paid by the April 1 of the year of your hunt and the balance of your hunt to be paid in full by That September 1.  No cancellation refunds issued for cancellations after May 1 of the hunt year except in the case of failure to draw the proper license. If the appropriate license has been applied for properly and on time and the hunter fails to draw, Midwest Giants Outfitters agrees to either carry the reservation and monies paid toward a future hunt with a price guaranteed against future increases or will issue a full refund less $ 100  

2008 hunt dates

• early season bow hunt Oct 1-7   
• after this limited hunt we close the property down for three weeks till the rut
• Archery rut hunts 6 days: 
• Nov 1- Nov 6             
• Nov 8-13 and                             
• Nov 15-20*                                         Our bowhunts are 6 full days starting Saturday Morning and ending Thursday evening. *Friday is an arrival and scouting day. Hunters choosing the Nov 17-22 hunt need to understand and agree that arriving firearms hunters will also be on the property for a few hours during the mid day of their last hunt day for orientation/ scouting only.

• First firearm hunt  3 days,  Nov 21, 22, 23 arrival and scouting day: Thursday 20th before

          Shotguns and muzzleloaders are both legal weapons in this season with a firearms permit

• Second firearm and muzzleloader hunt 4 days,  DEC 4-7     
• arrival and scouting Wednesday 3rd before

Illinois Deer Licenses and Tags

• Non Resident Archery tags are by lottery in June and run about $400. Availability has been 100% IF APPLIED FOR ON TIME in recent years
  
• Illinois Non Resident Shotgun or muzzleloader tags are around $265. Applications are by mail only and are available in July for a draw in August. Tag availability has been 100% for on time applicants in recent years.
